HART L&D APPRENTICE IS FINALIST IN IPEX 2017 DESIGN CHALLENGE
Michael Lamb, Web/Graphic Design level 2 apprentice for the NHS, has been picked as a finalist for the IPEX 2017 Advert Design Challenge.
IPEX invited learners and apprentices under 25 from the print and graphic arts to design an advertisement to encourage visitors to come along to IPEX 2017, an international exhibition that aims to showcase innovation, technology in action and business solutions in the print industry.
Michael entered the competition in his own time and is one of three finalists who impressed the judges after working to a set brief, much like they would have to when designing something in industry. Entrants also had to provide a description to explain the rationale behind their ad. The theme this year is “print in action”.
Michael chose an apprenticeship to get the skills and experience he needs to become a Graphic Designer, and we’re sure his competition entry will make a valuable addition to his growing portfolio.
On his apprenticeship, Michael said, “I’m most enjoying all of the projects that my work is involved in and that my work is very much appreciated and used for the NHS. I also like that my work helps the organisation and I am able to give a valuable input to the company.
“Hart L&D have helped and supported me by discussing future employment and paths.”
We know the power of positive promotion at Hart L&D – that’s why we encourage our learners to put themselves out there, and every year we support our learners and clients in applying for a whole variety of awards.
