Apprenticeships are a brilliant way for learners to build their skills, knowledge, and confidence by combining classroom sessions with on-the job training. At the end of their apprenticeship journey, learners have earnt a recognised qualification, valuable experience, and a salary to support their development, making them an attractive option for school leavers, graduates, and career changers.

Emma is a Level 2 Autocare Technician apprentice who is currently working with a garage in Letchworth. During her course, Emma has learnt a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills including mechanical work and service maintenance. She’s even learnt about how to work on electric and hybrid vehicles to gain future-proofed skills to help her get a job in the changing automotive industry.
