From April 2021, learners aged 24 and over, and without a full Level 3 qualification, will be able to access fully-funded Level 3 courses with Hart Learning & Development. This offer is part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee which was announced by the Prime Minister in September 2020.
This Government offer is a long-term commitment to remove the age constraints and financial barriers for adult learners looking for their first level 3 qualification so that they can access training to enable them to progress.
Principal and CEO, Kit Davies welcomes the change in funding “The National Skills fund will prove invaluable for adults looking to upskill in their current role or re-train in a new field. The timing of this change is critical, particularly in providing opportunities for those who have been impacted by the pandemic.”
Courses will be available in a variety of delivery methods from socially distanced classrooms to online learning, offering flexibility around current commitments, to support adults to get the skills they need to boost their careers.
We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver our professional accountancy courses, that combine online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom at North Hertfordshire College’s main Stevenage campus.
Matt Brown, Director of Marketing and Student Experience at Mindful Education, said: “This funding provides a great opportunity for people seeking career-change options. Eligible learners will pay nothing for their level 3 course and can gain a widely-recognised professional qualification which can lead directly to employment. Mindful Education is delighted to be offering fully funded accounting and management courses in partnership with North Hertfordshire College.”
*A level 3 qualification is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or 2 full A levels.
