This course covers areas that are most relevant to those working in the health, care and wellbeing sector. It is also relevant to any employees who work closely with other people on a regular basis.

 

They are ideal for helping staff understand the importance of both mental and physical health and have been designed to support wellbeing on a variety of levels.

 

You will benefit from a greater understanding of these topics as well as developing their communication and management skills within the workplace.

 

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Any employee working closely with people on a daily basis, this course is suitable for all sectors.

 

COURSE CONTENT

Mental health is an increasingly important issue in the workforce, over 25% of the general population are directly impacted by mental health issues every year.

Our course covers:

  • Awareness of mental health issues including OCD, PTSD and ADHD
  • How to look out for key signs, triggers and symptoms
  • Guidance on how to recognise and support people with mental health problems on a daily basis

 

Course delivery – blended learning

All those enrolling onto one of our online courses will also receive remote support from our tutors. Specialist teams will provide individual feedback and study programmes that are tailored to personal need. Our teams are available via email, telephone or Skype throughout the course.

 

We support learning in the workplace with face-to-face sessions at key points. Enrolment is done in person and your staff are supported from the first step in their journey. Two further workshop sessions are scheduled with you to minimise disruption to your business while providing opportunities to meet our experienced tutors in person.

funding – who is eligible

  • If you’re a citizen of the United Kingdom or a country within the European Economic Area
  • Have been resident in the United Kingdom or a country within the European Economic area for the previous 3 years
  • Are not currently enrolled on any other funded learning programme
  • If you are aged 19-23 and don’t have a level 2, you can study a level 2 qualification fully funded

 

Full funding may also be available if you are earning below the low-wage salary threshold. Please speak to us for further details
