Hart sector-based work academies

At Hart Learning + Development, we work with a variety of referral and employer partners to build and develop curriculum programmes that provide stepping stone opportunities, developing skills and enabling learners to move into employment.

Our sector-based work academies tend to run for 2 weeks, though there is some flexibility on the timings based on employer needs and requirements. The programmes all consist of three elements:

  • pre-employment training (classroom-based learning that is matched to the needs of your business)
  • work experience placement
  • guaranteed job interview

Sector Based Work Academies are a fantastic way of further developing an individual’s skill set, providing work experience and the guaranteed opportunity to interview for a job role with an employer. By completing the initial classroom based learning, individuals will be a step ahead and understand the employer and business, helping ensure it’s a good fit.

Employers also benefit from access to a large pool of candidates to fill a number of vacancies without any recruitment costs. The training completed by learners ensures they have a good understanding of your business’ needs and values, and are ready to meet expectations in their job roles.

More information about employability programmes can be found on the UK Government’s website.

Pre-employment Training

Depending on the employer need, we will deliver relevant qualifications and training based on the job roles that are on offer. We work closely with the employer to design the most suitable programme to prepare individuals for the type of work that would be expected should they be successful in securing a role.

Work Experience

This is the opportunity for the employer and the individual to showcase what they can offer. Learners receive the opportunity to get a feel of the environment they could potentially be hired to work in, and employers can observe individuals in the workplace to see how they fit with their team.

Guaranteed Interview

This is a mandatory commitment that the employer must provide at the end of the programme. All individuals are interviewed for available roles within the business, allowing them the opportunity to showcase their skills and gain valuable interview experience.
